The Philadelphia Eagles have begun their final cuts by releasing 12 players and preserving seventh round DE Joe Kruger on injured reserve.
Released players, courtesy of the Eagles’ press release:
LB Everette Brown
DT Antonio Dixon
QB Dennis Dixon
DE David King
QB G.J. Kinne
OL Matt Kopa
CB Trevard Lindley (waived with injury settlement)
WR Ifeanyi Momah
WR Will Murphy
OL Dallas Reynolds
LB Adrian Robinson
OL Matt Tennant
Kruger, whom many thought may challenge for a roster spot, suddenly came down with a mysterious shoulder injury to land him on injured reserve.
That’s a bummer about Momah, at the beginning of camp I had high hopes for him. Hopefully he clears waivers and ends up on the practice squad.
None of the other players comes as really a surprise. However, they have to trim nine more players by 6:00pm EST on Saturday. This is where the decisions get hard.
